Levels of Outpatient Treatment

We’ll help you determine the most appropriate level of treatment based on the severity of your addiction, your professional obligations, family life, and medical coverage.

Outpatient Program (OP)

A traditional outpatient drug and alcohol treatment schedule usually include four to six hours per week of therapy, along with additional psychiatric or family sessions as needed. An OP is appropriate for less severe or short-term addictions in which the patient must maintain full-time work or family responsibilities. The weekly commitment is 6 hours.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive outpatient treatment is exactly what it sounds like – outpatient drug or alcohol rehab on a higher level, with a more intensive schedule than other outpatient programs. An IOP provides 10 to 15 hours per week of drug addiction therapy, usually during the evening or nighttime hours. This program is ideal for moderate to severe addictions but needs their daytime hours free to satisfy other obligations.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Also known as Day Treatment, a PHP offers six hours per day, five days per week, of therapeutic activities while allowing the patient to spend nights and weekends at home. This is the highest level of care, intended for severe or long-term addictions and those who do not have daytime work requirements. It can also serve as an ideal step-down strategy for someone who has recently completed an inpatient detox or drug rehab program.

Online Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab

Both individual therapy sessions and group therapy are important components of addiction recovery. But sometimes, it can be a hardship for people to physically come to rehab, even outpatient. When a person has to work long hours, has health issues, or has other obligations that make it hard to attend treatment, they need another option. Our online drug and alcohol rehab program allow them to get the help they need.

Telehealth has made it possible for us to connect with people virtually. These individuals might not have been able to get professional help for their addictions without an online option. Because of telehealth, we can offer them both individual therapy and group therapy sessions.
