Narcotics Anonymous is a lot like Alcoholics Anonymous. But, as the name suggests, this group is designed for drug addicts. It helps heroin addicts, prescription drug addicts, and anyone else with a substance abuse problem who wants to get clean.
Like AA, NA holds free meetings where members get together to talk. In the meetings, members open up about their feelings and listen to each other’s stories. They all listen to one another and support each other through the recovery process.
Both AA and NA are based around the Twelve Steps, a system designed to help people get sober. For many folks, the Steps are the key to sobriety.
