Outpatient recovery meetings and support groups are also important once rehab is completed. Addicts have the opportunity to attend free programs like AA or NA. Family members and friends also have help and support available from Al-Anon, Nar Anon and Alateen.
The problem is that many people do not know where to turn or what to do to begin the recovery process. We understand that, which is why we felt this guide was so important. We are not affiliated with any of these organizations, but we believe it is vital for people to have information about the various resources in the Lacey area.
There are several AA meetings that take place in the Lacey area each week.

In most cases, people who are just starting out on the road to recovery need to seek out more intensive professional treatment prior to using AA or NA as their sole source of support. While these resources are helpful, they usually do not provide enough support in the very beginning of the addiction recovery process. This makes it so important to launch your sobriety quest by attending a drug or alcohol detox and rehab program.
While detox is necessary, it is the rehab phase that really teaches the tools and skills you need to actually keep things going once your program is done. Rehab programs vary greatly, such as inpatient or outpatient, as well as what types of services and comfort levels they offer. Finding the right rehab program for your addiction gives you the best chances at overall success.
The biggest difference that separates the different types of drug and alcohol rehab programs is whether they are inpatient or outpatient. This applies not only where you live and when you attend the program, it also plays a large part in which types of therapy are available, and how intensive it is. Many different personal factors must be considered in order to select the right one. Out of all the choices you need to make when deciding on your rehab program, whether it is inpatient or outpatient is probably the most important.
For those without very severe addictions to drugs or alcohol, or are unable to be away from their residence full time, outpatient is likely to be the better choice to make. An outpatient program is for a set amount of weeks, where the participant comes to the facility for treatment for a predetermined amount of time each day. The number of days, and which they are, are also determined during the initial interview process. This allows the correct amount of treatment for each person in specific.
In many cases of addiction, therapy and help for drug and alcohol addiction is needed on a round-the-clock basis. Inpatient programs answer these needs by giving patients a place to stay while they are struggling through those initial, difficult times. Doctors and nurses are available at all times of the day or evening, virtually whenever you need them. Inpatient is also a better choice if you feel you cannot take the risk of being around any triggers or unhealthy environments at any time during your rehab treatment.
Lacey is home to four different alcohol and drug rehab treatment centers. Unfortunately, none of these four provide treatment for alcoholism, only drug addiction. The closest place to Lacey to find alcohol rehab treatment is in nearby Shelton. Each of the four drug rehab facilities in Lacey is outpatient in nature.
If you have the capacity to look beyond Lacey for your outpatient rehab needs, Northpoint Seattle should be at the top of your list of places to consider. Northpoint Seattle is an accredited program that offers the benefits of being able to live at home with a treatment program that is second to none. We offer a variety of therapy types in our program, including holistic therapy, family therapy and individual treatment sessions. For those with co-occurring disorder, we also provide mental health therapy and medication as needed.
If outpatient is not enough to handle your drug or alcohol addiction, we offer inpatient programs at Northpoint Washington. With locations in two cities, Boise and Edmonds, we have the resources to handle just about any addiction that you may have. Our personalized program is full of the teachings and resources needed to put either a drug or alcohol addiction to bed for good.
To properly treat a drug addiction, a specific program with it at its center is key. Northpoint Washington's drug rehab program is tailored not only to battling drug addiction in general, but also your addiction in specific. Detox, followed by rehab, and ending with a specialized aftercare program has proved to be the best way we can help you in your battle. We also are ready and willing to handle patients with dual diagnosis, or co-occurring disorder.
The alcohol rehab program at Northpoint Washington is full of treatment for the different areas of alcoholism. Group therapy is used not only to learn, but also socialize with others that suffer from the same affliction you do. Family therapy is helpful in mending fences with loved ones, and teaching them how they can best help with your addiction. Educational workshops teach you skills dealing with self care, anger management and communication, to name just a few.
One of the most important parts of deciding which drug or alcohol rehab program is whether or not they accept your health insurance. Northpoint Washington and Northpoint Seattle accept many different plans and carriers, and will work with you to make the payment process as easy as possible.
In many cases, people who are new to recovery need to go to professional treatment prior to attending AA or NA. While these resources are helpful, they usually do not provide enough support.
At Northpoint Seattle, we are located just over an hour away from Lacey. Attending our intensive outpatient treatment program is very convenient, but it is also effective. We can also offer referrals for medical detox for anyone who needs them.
