Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers in Port Angeles, Washington

There are seven drug and alcohol treatment centers in Port Angeles. Two of these centers offer only outpatient care in the form of counseling and behavioral therapy. Figuring out whether inpatient or outpatient treatment programs are more appropriate will depend on various factors. It depends on the amount of commitment that clients are willing to make and the severity of the addiction.

Understanding which level of care is most suitable can be difficult. Get a free addiction assessment to determine which one of the following treatment programs best suit one’s lifestyle:

  • Inpatient programs. Inpatient treatment programs are designed for those with a severe addiction or for those who have just started their recovery. These programs are relatively intense, and clients are placed under constant supervision. Clients will be required to take a leave of absence from work or school to live at the rehab center for 28 to 90 days. They usually receive medical detox services first before progressing to other parts of the addiction treatment plan.
  • Outpatient programs. Outpatient treatment programs are the most flexible. Clients go to the rehab facility whenever they need treatment. This can range anywhere from an hour or two a week to several hours a day. There are many different types of outpatient programs out there, like Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs). IOPs require a commitment of at least 9 hours a week while PHPs require a commitment of about 6 to 8 hours a day for at least 5 days a week.

There are many other factors that should be considered when choosing an alcohol or drug treatment center. For example, it’s important to consider the types of treatment programs that are offered, as well as the amenities provided in the rehab facility.
