Please note that teenagers are always welcome to attend Alateen chat meetings online. Also, anyone can attend an Al-Anon meeting regardless of their age.
Even though both AA and NA can be beneficial, they are not always enough. For someone who is new to treatment, they may need to consider going to drug and alcohol rehab as the first step.
12-Step meetings offer peer support, which is important, and often a vital part of the recovery process. But so many people are struggling with other issues that require a professional approach. For example, if a person has a co-occurring disorder like depression or anxiety, they may need medication to control their symptoms. That is not something that can be done with AA or NA.
Rehab offers people the benefit of working with professionals who know the best ways to treat addictions. It is often necessary to begin with treatment and then transition into AA or NA later on.
According to the SAMHSA treatment locator, Lynnwood has four drug and alcohol rehab programs for people to choose from. They are both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. There are about 35 of them located within a 10-mile radius of the city.
But please note that just because there are several to choose from, they all vary in their approaches. It is best to find one that offers the type of treatment that is needed, and that provides every patient with their own, unique treatment plan.
There is no way to choose one type of addiction treatment center and say that it is the best for everyone. People respond differently to various types of rehab, and it all depends on what their unique needs are.
Some people do really well with outpatient programs; especially those that offer intensive outpatient programs, or IOPs. These individuals are usually very motivated to recover, and they often have strong support systems at home. But for other people, they need a bit more support.
Substance abuse and addiction have a way of negatively impacting people’s lives. They can lead to crime, violence and other issues. When a person’s home life has these types of issues, or even when they lack the necessary support, an inpatient program is often the best option.
We offer one of the best outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs in the State of Washington. For those who need to go through the detoxification process prior to rehab, we can offer recommendations and referrals to programs that we trust. Afterwards, those individuals are welcome to come back for rehab.
Our outpatient program offers different levels of care to meet people’s unique needs. Our IOP and partial hospitalization programs are excellent, and provide a higher level of care. We also have a more traditional outpatient setting, and those clients are typically a little further along on their recovery journeys.
There are some people who need inpatient rehab in order to be successful in recovery. This could be for any of the reasons we mentioned earlier. But it could also be possible that they simply lack the motivation they need to stay off drugs or alcohol if they live at home.
At Northpoint Washington, they offer both alcohol treatment and a quality drug rehab program. It lasts for a few weeks, and that includes the time that a patient may need to spend in detox.
It only takes about 13 minutes to get to our facility at Northpoint Seattle from the Lynnwood area.
At Northpoint Seattle, our intensive outpatient treatment program has been shown to be just as effective as inpatient care. We also work with several insurance companies to ensure that our clients are able to find affordable care that can help them be successful.
Treatment is not the right approach for everyone, but for many people, it is. Do you need to know more about rehab or your options for recovery? Please contact us today.
Our admissions coordinators are here to help you get started with treatment the right way. They'll verify your health insurance, help set up travel arrangements, and make sure your transition into treatment is smooth and hassle-free.
